Walter Von Nessen for Chase Brass & Copper “Diplomat” 5-Piece Coffee Set — 1933
A striking Art Deco five-piece “Diplomat” coffee service designed by Walter von Nessen for Chase Brass & Copper Company, circa 1933. This iconic set showcases von Nessen’s streamlined modernist aesthetic, combining chrome-plated brass with Bakelite handles and accents—hallmarks of Chase’s most collectible period.
The set includes two coffee pots, a creamer, a covered sugar, and the matching tray. All hollowware pieces are model 17029, and the tray is model 17030. The covered sugar bears the CHASE U.S.A. mark with the classic centaur emblem.
